DIY || Avocado Face Mask

Last week i was looking for an avocado face mask recipe and after some reading i combined a few of my findings and created my own. It's quick, simple and i have to say my skin really felt so soft and smooth afterwards!

This variation will work best for dry or aging skin and to exfoliate dead skin cells.
Avocados are moisturizing, but the vitamin K in the avocado also tones skin, reducing dark circles and rosacea spots. Several B vitamins that are in avocados are beneficial to relieving stress. The simple act of taking the time to sit and relax as the mask is absorbed will ease stress as well.

So..what is it you need?
 - 1/2 medium ripe avocado
 - 1 tablespoon of honey
 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
 - 25ml yoghurt

Step1:
Mash the avocado until creamy. Avocados naturally contain a deep penetrating vegetable oil that is perfect for dry skin care. Maybe the most important element of avocado is that it is a good source of potassium, which is known as the youth mineral, so whether you are eating avocados or making a face mask, they can help your skin maintain its healthy and beautiful glow.

Step 2:
Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the avocado mash. Honey has the ability to kill germs on the skin and can reduce swelling and inflammation, giving the skin a taught and youthful appearance.

Step 3:
Stir in the yogurt. Yogurt is a natural and gentle cleanser and is used in many skin care products. Yogurt also contains lactic acid, which soothes and softens the skin while tightening wrinkles and refining pores.

Step 4:
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Olive oil is a great moisturizer that won't clog your pores and is easily absorbed by your skin. So don't worry about breakouts

Step 5:
Wash your face gently with warm water and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of the avocado face mask to your face and neck. Allow the mask to set for at least 15 minutes. Rinse it off thoroughly with lukewarm water, followed by cold water to close up your pores.
