Luck is in the air!

A small two weeks ago i participated in a Give Away contest on Live Life Glamorous, a great blog by Babette Grunder.
The price was an adorable owl necklace from a webshop called Kenzaa. They sell, as they say, Fashion treasures for girls. Sounds amazing if you ask me.
I was so happy to see the email by Babette telling me i'd won! Beginning of this week i received the necklace and i'm so happy with it. Not only it's always nice to win something but i also think i'll be wearing this necklace a lot as it's so easy to combine and it will definitely give my outfits that little extra specialness.

So Babette, thanks so much! Don't forget to take a look on her blog HERE

DIY || Avocado Face Mask

Last week i was looking for an avocado face mask recipe and after some reading i combined a few of my findings and created my own. It's quick, simple and i have to say my skin really felt so soft and smooth afterwards!

This variation will work best for dry or aging skin and to exfoliate dead skin cells.
Avocados are moisturizing, but the vitamin K in the avocado also tones skin, reducing dark circles and rosacea spots. Several B vitamins that are in avocados are beneficial to relieving stress. The simple act of taking the time to sit and relax as the mask is absorbed will ease stress as well.

So..what is it you need?
 - 1/2 medium ripe avocado
 - 1 tablespoon of honey
 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
 - 25ml yoghurt

Step1:
Mash the avocado until creamy. Avocados naturally contain a deep penetrating vegetable oil that is perfect for dry skin care. Maybe the most important element of avocado is that it is a good source of potassium, which is known as the youth mineral, so whether you are eating avocados or making a face mask, they can help your skin maintain its healthy and beautiful glow.

Step 2:
Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the avocado mash. Honey has the ability to kill germs on the skin and can reduce swelling and inflammation, giving the skin a taught and youthful appearance.

Step 3:
Stir in the yogurt. Yogurt is a natural and gentle cleanser and is used in many skin care products. Yogurt also contains lactic acid, which soothes and softens the skin while tightening wrinkles and refining pores.

Step 4:
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Olive oil is a great moisturizer that won't clog your pores and is easily absorbed by your skin. So don't worry about breakouts

Step 5:
Wash your face gently with warm water and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of the avocado face mask to your face and neck. Allow the mask to set for at least 15 minutes. Rinse it off thoroughly with lukewarm water, followed by cold water to close up your pores.

Instagram || Picture Diary

Sometimes i really wish i had some more time on my hands. Nowadays it seems like time is not flying anymore, but just taking the speedjet or something. I remember it was New Year's Eve like it was yesterday and how i feel like now Parisa will be driving a car before i can even blink my eyes.
But enough complaning, let's try to enjoy every moment. These are a few happy moments of last week.

1. Parisa enjoying Bumba in the early morning, while the sun slowly comes sneaking up.
2. Having a fresh mint tea with honey at work, how i love that!
3. Normally i wear nothing but nude tones on my lips, but i tought it was time to try something else. What you think?
4. Finally got my hair highlighted, i wanna be blonde again before summer starts!
5. Baking home made pancakes with Mortaza and our little princess, really enjoy those happy moments together.
6. Still training for the 10km run in april, alltough i'm not quite sure i will make it. After working out i think i deserve a relaxing moment in the little spa at my gym.
7. Catching up with friends while enjoying drinks and nacho's.
8. Watching Dexter with Mortaza. Lately it's like our standard ritual before we go to bed, really love that serie.
9. And of course popcorn with butter flavour makes it complete ;)
